Morris Moran

Morris Moran

Owner and President

Morris Moran has more than two decades of experience in the fields of information technology and medical billing and coding. From writing code to designing complex IT architecture, he has helped major healthcare billing and technology companies build hardware and software systems centered on speed and scalability.

In June 2006, Moran took ownership of First Coast Billing Group, a Jacksonville, Florida, medical billing company founded in 1990. He has used his extensive IT experience, as well as his knowledge of regulations and reimbursement patterns of the major insurance carriers, to help First Coast Billing grow into a trusted partner for private and hospital-owned providers throughout the country.

In July of 2009 Moran partnered with Edsel Pertile to form a software company called Intersect Billing Solutions Inc (IBS). This company is focused on medical industry software solutions. Over the past 5 years IBS has developed an end-to-end practice management solution that is highly customizable and efficient. Moran believes that in order to keep up with an ever changing industry while maintaining compliance and security, this type of solution is essential to stay ahead of the problems and issues that are common with ‘out-of-the-box’ solutions.

A husband and father of three, Moran enjoys spending time with his family, watching and coaching his sons’ sports teams and playing golf. He is actively involved in his church and is engaged in many ministries based in that church community.
